ARTIST HANDS

She sacrificed many things in life: first, she left her son at home and went to learn new techniques of Fine Arts.
However, it was necessary, because success is difficult, “it is a real journey that can make a person happy if her or she is preparing for that”.
I'm talking about... GENECI MARTELLI, elegant Lady of the Arts, who was born and lived in Santa Catarina, Florianopolis, and now resides in Tapurah, in Mato Grosso — Brazil. (In the photo, Geneci and her painting "Banff Town", a tribute to my vampire novel Suzan Love, because its story takes place during the winter in the Canadian Banff!)
The art is in her blood, the art is the activity that she actually performs! Autodidact, Geneci uses different materials in her works: jute, plaster, paper, cement, wood and acrylic mass.
“I participated in some exhibits in my city, and one of the greatest experiences I had was an invitation to participate in a contest of Expression of Sculpture, in the town of Sorriso — MT. Twenty Brazilian artists were selected to make sculptures in concrete, stone and clay with the Portuguese teacher Francisco Charneca”.
Her works have been selected and displayed for a few days in a public place in town.
In 2006, she received the invitation to exhibit at Buckingham Palace, in London, to celebrate the eightieth birthday of Queen Elizabeth II, and produced a man and a woman of cement and marble.
The institute has asked each artist to display the reality of his people.
“At that time, the northern Mato Grosso was going through very difficult times due to the crisis in agriculture, so I mad a very sad couple, crying (photo), because it was what we were seeing, especially the crying of small farmers! My reward? A plaque and a diploma of honor from the Queen".
Martelli participated in an exhibit in Campos dos Goytacazes, in Rio de Janeiro, whose theme was Street Children and then she proved her creations in another event, in Sao Paulo: The Anniversary of 450 Years of the City.
She also painted the image on the left, especially for the cover of my book, The enigma Rouche (photo). The canvas, which shows the oldest church in Brazil, The church of Saints Cosmas and Damian (Igarassu - PE), you find in my story, one of the most praised novels today in Pernambuco.
Geneci also produces beautiful arrangements of Christmas: cribs, candles, flowers...
Currently, this Lady of the Arts receives many invitations to exhibit outside of Brazil.
“I try to be very optimistic, I think my country deserves good rulers, because our beloved Brazil is deficient in all areas. Our problem is a matter of culture, nothing else”.
She was born GENECI FATIMA MARTELLI TOLOTTI and produces intensely, discovering, for each work, new possibilities of expression, with different themes. Her creations are in 3-D, panels, sculptures, wall sculptures, mirrors, candles, fountains and Christmas arrangements. Numerous works, you'll love them!
